Digital Communications Journeyman/Top Secret Clearance

• Salary Range - $90,000 to $100,000
• Location - This is remote work position with a work location within a 50-mile radius of one of these locations: NAB Coronado, CA; NAWS China Lake, CA; NAS Point Mugu, CA; MCAS Yuma, AZ; Eglin AFB, FL; or JEB Little Creek Fort Story, VA. Travel is required.
• Clearance - Top-Secret

Summary: This position provides support to the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) Digital Precision Strike Suite (DPSS) Development and Sustainment Support Program.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Provide journeyman level assistance in the installation, operation, and maintenance of tactical communication systems, including radios, satellite terminals, and networking equipment.
2. Support troubleshooting and repair of communication equipment in training and testing environments.
3. Configure and test communication systems to ensure reliability and security in mission-critical scenarios.
4. Assist in training personnel on the proper use and maintenance of communication devices.
5. Support frequency management and encryption key loading for secure communications.
6. Work closely with senior personnel and SMEs to integrate communication solutions into operational planning.
7. Maintain detailed documentation, including equipment configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and system reports. Stay updated on new technologies, military communication protocols, and best practices.
8. Attend meetings as required.

Qualifications and Certifications:

• Top Secret Clearance, SCI Eligible
• Minimum of 5 years of military or government/military contractor experience in tactical communication systems, including Harris Falcon III/VI radios, ViaSat TDL radios, and Internet Protocol (IP) technology.
• Hands-on experience with tactical radio systems, satellite communications, and network integration.
• Basic understanding of encryption protocols, frequency management, and RF transmission principles.
