Overview

Digital Communications Coordinator (Remote - North America) position posted on behalf of University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). This role offers an exciting opportunity to support digital communications across multiple platforms in a mission-driven environment. The coordinator will create, edit, and publish compelling content that engages diverse audiences, manage visual media, and coordinate cross-channel campaigns. Working remotely and part-time, you will collaborate with teams to maintain content calendars, enhance digital storytelling, and optimize communication strategies.

Accountabilities

Responsibilities
  • Develop, draft, and edit content for digital channels including news stories, newsletters, emails, and social media, ensuring alignment with brand voice and communication goals
  • Design and produce digital assets using tools like Canva, and perform basic photo and video editing to enhance visual storytelling
  • Manage digital publishing workflows, including scheduling content via social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social) and supporting web updates through content management systems such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Maintain content calendars, track campaign performance, and support community engagement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of campaigns and consistent messaging across channels
  • Assist with monitoring and reporting on content effectiveness to inform future strategy
Qualifications
