Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC, a Fortune 500 supplier, is seeking a Digital Category Merchandiser - Commercial Plumbing to optimize the online shopping experience, enhance product presentation, and drive sales and profitability. Location: United States; this role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the country.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in ecommerce
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication across formats
  • Proficient in current SEO and SEM methodologies
  • Comfortable with Excel, Outlook, Birst, SQL and merchandising tools
  • Familiar with conversion rate, AOV and other digital KPIs

Responsibilities

  • Conduct competitive analyses and monitor sales; adjust strategy accordingly
  • Manage categories across multiple domains
  • Merchandise optimization and brand representation on site
  • Develop and execute pricing strategies and monitor margin performance
  • Collaborate with Category Management, Ops, Sales, and Marketing to support brand strategy
  • Enhance omnichannel shopping experience and improve conversion
  • Understand customer segments to tailor product strategies
  • Coordinate promotions and contribute to marketing initiatives
  • Create and optimize landing pages based on marketing data
  • Ensure product information accuracy with data teams
  • Track inventory, launches, discontinuations, and pricing changes

The Digital Category Merchandiser - Commercial Plumbing is responsible for optimizing the online shopping experience by enhancing the product presentation to drive sales and profitability. You will collaborate with vendors, marketing and IT to develop best-in‑class shopping experiences for your assigned categories. Using data analytics, you will curate a product assortment that is visually appealing and creates a user‑friendly experience. The merchandiser will also be responsible for driving traffic through Marketing and SEO to their assigned categories. This position is also responsible for achieving monthly revenue and profit goals for each of the assigned categories. They will work with all departments in the company to achieve financial goals by providing the right experience for our customers.

Location: This role is approved to be fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct frequent competitive analyses and monitor daily/monthly/yearly sales and decide strategy based on the competitive landscape.
  • Responsible for managing categories across multiple domains.
  • Proactive iteration and merchandising optimization of brand(s) representation on site through data driven analysis
  • Responsible for developing and executing brand pricing strategies, monitoring the competitive landscape, and ensuring optimal sell‑through rates and margin performance.
  • Ensure each category is profitable and meeting their goals (Revenue$ and MGP$)
  • Operate cross functionality with Category Management, Ops, Sales Associates, and Marketing to support brand(s) strategy and internal success
  • Enhance customer's omnichannel shopping experience for categories managed through leveraging merchandising tools to drive conversion and decreased bounce rates
  • Develop a strong understanding of our different customer segments to execute unique product strategies and campaigns to each group.
  • Coordinates promotions and assists in fine tuning marketing initiatives for their assigned categories.
  • Strategizes directly with our marketing teams to ensure brands are performing well and represented well in our marketing activities.
  • Creates new landing pages and optimizes poor performing landing pages based on need shown by marketing data
  • Advises the work of the data team to ensure all product information is accurate for assigned categories.
  • Responsible for understanding inventory, discontinuations, price changes, new product launches, etc of assigned categories.
  • Gap analysis to drive focus to underperforming areas
  • Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to data, vendor management, marketing and more.
  • Weekly/monthly meetings with categories primary point of contact to discuss strategy and performance
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience of 3+ years in eCommerce field required
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally across written formats, virtual meetings, and presentations, while operating independently.
  • Proficient in current SEO and SEM standard methodologies
  • Comfortable working in tools such as: Excel, Outlook, Birst, SQL and other merchandising tools.
  • Familiar with: conversion rates, return rates, marketing efficiency, AOV, and other digital commerce KPIs
  • Customer centered approach to sophisticated business/user problems
  • Experience leveraging and analyzing data to drive business outcomes
  • Strong performance mentality to drive outcomes and results
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to encourage and empower a cross‑functional team

Pay Range:
  • $5,608.34 - $8,975.00
  • Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
  • This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
  • Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
  • The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
