Job summary

1st Source Corporation in South Bend, Indiana, seeks an Electronic Banking Intern for Summer 2027. This paid internship runs 10–12 weeks, with a 40-hour workweek, Monday–Friday, on-site.

You will conduct Gen Z digital banking research, benchmark peers, and present actionable recommendations to Electronic Banking leadership and Marketing. You'll rotate through Support Operations, Harvester Optimization, Reporting and Analytics, and Enterprise Projects to gain a holistic view of digital banking

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Pursuing bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, MIS, or related field.
• Interest in banking, digital user experience, fintech, or customer behavior research.
• Experience or coursework in survey design, data visualization, or UX research preferred.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills - translate data into actionable insights.
• Proficiency in MS Office software (Excel, Word) is essential.
• Good organizational skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on digital banking experiences among Gen Z users.
• Benchmark other community banks and fintechs to identify best practices for mobile and online banking engagement.
• Summarize findings and present actionable recommendations to leadership and Marketing teams.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
• Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
