Job summary

Societe Generale is seeking a regulatory compliance professional to provide expert guidance on digital asset regulations in the U.S. This role focuses on tokenization, stablecoins, and related services, with familiarity of evolving federal and state reforms.

Responsibilities

Provide expert guidance on regulations related to tokenization, stablecoins, and broader digital asset services. Develop familiarity with emerging frameworks such as the GENIUS Act, CLARITY Act, SEC and CFTC rule changes, and other federal or state reforms. Support SGUS on U.S. stablecoin issuance, banking and investment services for digital assets, and supply regulatory advice to transactional, risk, and operations teams regarding blockchain securities and licensing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise on digital asset regulatory frameworks, including the GENIUS Act, CLARITY Act, SEC and CFTC reforms, and other applicable laws.
  • Monitor and interpret regulatory developments related to digital assets and shape advocacy positions for SG.
  • Support digital asset projects within SGUS, including SG Forge.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, especially Legal and business teams, on topics such as AML/sanctions and banking law.
  • Prepare briefing documents for management and relevant regulators.
  • Develop and implement necessary compliance policies and procedures.
  • Analyze reputational risk issues related to digital asset clients.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Experience working in or with a Compliance Department at a bank, broker-dealer, or digital asset firm.
  • Subject‑matter expertise in the digital assets industry.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and analyze regulations with attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a dynamic, deadline‑focused environment.
  • Experience assessing compliance and reputational risk management in a business environment.
