Job summary

Okta seeks a passionate Digital Art Director to shape the creative experience on oktane.com, with a knack for product storytelling and digital experiences. You’ll work across design systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, brand-led websites during the event lifecycle.

Reporting to the Creative Director of Digital, you’ll craft visually stunning experiences, ensure UX excellence, and drive marketing storytelling across the Okta brand.

Qualifications

• BA or BFA in Art/Design
• Extraordinary digital design skills
• World-class portfolio of work
• Strong communication presentation skills; proven ability to present to executives/leaders
• Highly organized and able to work collaboratively across multiple projects
• 7+ years experience in digital art direction and design in a creative agency or client-side group; B2B / tech experience is a plus
• Expert knowledge of the creative process and collaborating with UX strategy & design, Copywriters, Developers, and Web Producers
• Expert knowledge of digital creative software tools (Figma, Adobe CC, Framer, Google Suite)
• 3-5 years experience using design systems to create innovative, digital marketing websites
• Previous experience working on digital event websites is a plus
• Solid knowledge of using design systems, creating components and modules
• Working knowledge of HTML is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Creative Lead, UX, visual designers, copywriters, strategists and developers on digital event experiences for okta.com
• Translate project briefs into thoughtful digital design solutions that boost engagement
• Lead meetings and present ideas clearly; incorporate feedback efficiently
• Concept, design, and prototype engaging digital storytelling experiences
• Share concepts through storyboards, prototypes, and animations to drive innovation
• Partner with Brand, Event Marketing, UX, Digital Strategy, Content, Development, and Production teams
• Ensure brand consistency and high-quality design across projects
• Learn and share insights on design trends and industry developments
• Think big while maintaining attention to detail
