We are looking for a motivated Digital Analytics Intern to join our Web Analytics team. The role focuses on analyzing performance across Yamaha’s digital platforms to support marketing strategies and enhance customer experiences.
We are recruiting for the term September2024 – March2025. This is a paid internship up to $16.50 per hour and relocation is not provided.
What you’ll do
- Assist in the analysis of website traffic, user behavior, and performance metrics using tools like Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Help develop reports and dashboards on digital campaign performance, website usage, and customer engagement.
- Contribute to the enhancement of data collection, tagging, analysis, and visualization practices.
- Support A/B testing and other experiments to optimize user experience and increase conversion rates.
- Collaborate with Development and other cross‑functional teams to ensure data accuracy and accessibility.
What you’ll bring to the table
- Currently enrolled as a junior or senior, or graduated within the last year, with a degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Music Business, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, Communications, or related field.
- Availability to work full time (Monday–Friday, 8:30am‑5pm) during the internship.
- Experience with site analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Passion for music and technology.
Additional skills (nice to have)
- Experience presenting information to key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with digital marketing channel tactics (CRM, SEO, CPC, Social) and measurement.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
- Experience with Google Tag Manager or similar tag management solutions.
- Knowledge of RegEx, JavaScript, SQL, or HTML.
- Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools.
- Experience with social media marketing and/or advertising.
- Appreciation of music and sound.
