ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital - the fund-raising organization of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital - is currently looking for a Digital Analyst II - Digital Analytics & Insights as follows.
Responsible for processing and analyzing data from a variety of sources and tools to communicate and visualize performance narratives providing perspectives regarding recent and long-term performance trends for the purposes of informing strategic fundraising direction and near-term optimization opportunities. This role will measure progress compared to business targets and performance objectives as well as design, develop, improve, and maintain reporting tools and dashboards.
Duties include:
1. Design, develop and analyze performance metrics per established standards and
best practices and providing the necessary reports and insights to support the marketing strategy and to deliver business goals.
2. Analyze performance results and apply a business acumen to the data story in order to provide data-driven advertising performance insights,
3. Confidence in taking a data driven position given analysis and insights outputs to enable decision making.
4. Ability to communicate analysis and insights perspectives and data stories to multiple levels of stakeholders from peers to upper leadership.
5. Work with 1st and 3rd party data including propensity models. Incorporating and blending this data with multiple data sources to form a complete data story.
6. Reporting performance narratives in a timely manner, per established standards,
formats, and business needs. This includes maintaining all interactive dashboards ensuring they are accurate and being generated in the most effective and efficient way.
7. Aggregate and mine large sets of data to identify and visualize performance trends; complete necessary data cleanup and standardization; comfortable working with large sets of data.
8. Coordinate with Media teams, Experience teams and Audience strategy teams for appropriate definition of and ongoing analysis of metrics, including ensuring tagging and taxonomy are implemented correctly are being adhered to in order to meet analytics needs.
9. Lead the way in establishing and supporting analytic standards, best practices,
and testing strategies working cross-functionally with a variety of interactive subject matter experts and business stakeholders. Educate teams on web analytics best practices and toolsets through the development of training materials, standards documentation, and assisting with the coordination/facilitation of regular training sessions with various analytics user groups.
Position eligible to telecommute from anywhere in U.S.
Position requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in a Data Engineering role with emphasis in analytics -- OR -- a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field followed by five (5) years of experience in a Data Engineering role with emphasis in analytics. Experience must include each of the following:
(i) Three (3) years of experience with Excel, Tableau, SQL, R; data processing and analysis; dashboard development; analysis of 1st and 3rd party data; data storytelling; propensity modeling; data blending and enriching; data-wrangling; data cleanup and standardization; supporting analytic standards and best practices; and working with large data sets.
(ii) Two (2) years of experience with SAS.
