Job summary

The University of South Carolina is seeking a Senior Digital Accessibility Manager to lead the university's digital accessibility program. Reporting to the Deputy ADA Coordinator, you will set standards, policies, and initiatives to ensure accessible content and technology across all campuses.

You will guide testing, interpretation of WCAG, and remediation efforts, partnering with faculty, staff, and students to ensure ADA compliance and a more inclusive online environment.

Qualifications

• Masters, JD, or Doctorate in a related field or equivalent certification.
• Experience in higher education ADA digital accessibility compliance.
• Familiarity with WCAG, assistive technologies, and web accessibility practices.
• Proven success with accessibility strategy and remediation.
• Experience using automated testing reports and translating into remediation.
• Ability to test accessibility best practices with appropriate tools.
• Direct involvement in large-scale accessibility remediation and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for digital accessibility initiatives across the university.
• Develop institutional standards, policies, and initiatives for accessibility.
• Oversee university-wide efforts to promote accessible content and technology.
• Serve as subject-matter expert on WCAG and accessibility testing.
• Coordinate remediation efforts and document compliance with ADA and Rehabilitation Act.
