Job summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support Digestive Health. The APP will work under a collaborating physician and provide medical services to a broad patient base, including adults and age groups appropriate to the specialty.

You will work within a team-centric environment, with established patient base and supportive staff, in a Hillsboro setting with access to local amenities.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Physician Assistant training program or completion of recognized Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Oregon Board of Medical Examiners PA license or Oregon NP license.
• Meets hospital credentialing requirements and maintains active staff membership.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional service to patients in the assigned practice and demonstrates regard for the dignity of all patients, guests and associates.
• Performs and documents assessments and data collection in an ongoing, timely, accurate, concise and systematic manner while accommodating unexpected changes in patient status.
• Delegates and coordinates tasks and duties of the healthcare team.
• Renders all services promptly and diligently in accordance with professional and ethical standards of the medical community and scope of practice in which the provider practices.
• Uses effective communication skills taking into consideration body language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, and questions with customers of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
