Job summary

Regions Hospital is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Digestive Care team. Under RN supervision, you will observe, monitor and document patient care, administer prescribed therapies, and support physicians with procedures.

You will provide a safe, therapeutic environment, communicate with patients and families, and contribute to shared governance and evidence-based nursing practice. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited training program for Practical Nursing.
• Licensed as a Practical Nurse by the State of Minnesota.
• CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers.
• Six months practical nursing (LPN) experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Digestive Care team and make a difference for our patients and our community.

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the supervision of the registered nurse, the LPN is responsible to observe and monitor patients, perform and document practical nursing practice at Regions Hospital, and to provide work direction to ACs and Volunteers; to perform and document dependent functions such as carrying out the physician’s medical orders; to assist physicians with diagnostic and treatment procedures; to provide a safe and therapeutic environment; to coordinate, communicate, interpret, and explain patient care services to the patient, his/her family, health professionals and important others; to perform related duties as assigned.
