Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho seeks a High-Volume Manufacturing Diffusion Equipment Shift Lead to guide a cross-functional team through 12-hour shifts. You will drive safe, efficient operations, manage performance, and push continuous improvement in the diffusion process area.

You will lead a growing team, apply SPC/data analysis to development experiments, and collaborate with multiple departments to optimize fab performance and wafer outs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent semiconductor industry experience.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with 3-4 days off per week, rotating days/nights every 4 months.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to set priorities and meet team goals.
• Proficient in applying SPC and data analysis to development experiments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing shift engineering/technician team in a safe, compliant environment.
• Manage performance and accountability while promoting collaboration across teams.
• Track and optimize area quality, manage deviations, and assist with experiments using SPC and data analysis.
• Verify procedures and direct continuous improvement projects integrating AI in daily work.
• Drive equipment performance by optimizing fab operations and responding to SPC events; manage shift priorities.
• Foster collaboration, communicate across departments, and drive issue resolution for fab performance.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and advance safety protocols.
