Job summary

onsemi is seeking a Diffusion Engineer to develop and support the manufacturing of 300mm silicon wafers for Automotive and Consumer applications worldwide. You will collaborate with integration, process and equipment teams to deliver robust, high-quality products and provide process engineering support for multiple areas.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or a technical field; MS preferred.
• 0-2 years of semiconductor processing experience.
• Knowledge of furnace processes (ASM/TEL/Bruce equipment).
• Experience in cross-functional teams to achieve goals and metrics.
• FMEA risk analysis experience is a plus.
• Excel/JMP data analysis using formulas, pivots, charts.
• MS Office (PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Strong communication skills; clear technical presentations.
• Fluent in English (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Own furnace processes and equipment health in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
• Apply technical skills to implement equipment and process improvements for yield, cost, throughput.
• Design experiments to improve yield, cost, and throughput.
• Resolve complex, time-sensitive technical problems to maintain schedules.
• Make decisions using data analysis and SPC techniques.
• Provide daily process and product disposition support in the furnace area.
• Contribute to understanding and resolution of equipment-level shifts in tool performance.
• Within 6–12 months, develop advanced sustaining responsibilities and cost reduction, yield improvement, and throughput gains.
