You will assess nutritional needs, develop and implement dietary plans, educate patients on healthy eating, and monitor progress during post-discharge plans to support overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Registered dietitian with formal nutrition education and licensure.
• Clinical dietetics experience preferred.
• Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other care disciplines in patient care.
• Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
• Document pertinent information in the patient’s medical record per standards.
• Implement nutritional care plans, adapt menus, and assist patients with special dietary needs.
• Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
• Review and sign menus for nutritional adequacy.
