Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City is seeking a Dietitian Registered to join our nutrition team. This role will provide nutrition consultation, coordinate nutrition care delivery, and support patient-centered dining services.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition and RD credential; licensure requirements include registration eligibility. Prior clinical dietitian experience is preferred, and we offer a supportive work environment with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in foods and nutrition from an ADA-approved program.
• RD (Registered Dietitian) or Provisional RD eligibility for registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provides nutrition and patient consultation as directed by the medical staff
• Assists in the coordination of food service and nutrition care delivery systems
• Maintains notes in patient medical records documenting care provided, including nutritional screens, assessments, instructions and patient progress
• Attends discharge planning rounds and stays in contact with unit staff to enhance nutrition care
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates nutrition education for patients; arranges for follow-up as needed
• Visits patients regularly to determine adequacy and appropriateness of diet orders and intake
• Develops a nutrition care plan with long- and short-term objectives, treatment modalities, education needs and ongoing information gathering
• Reports to assigned Manager and adheres to standard precautions and safety requirements

Responsibilities

The Dietitian Registered responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provides nutrition and patient consultation as directed by the medical staff
• Assists in the coordination of food service and nutrition care delivery systems
• Maintains notes in patient medical record which document care provided, including nutritional screens, assessments, instructions given, and patient progress
• Attends discharge planning rounds on assigned areas and stays in regular contact with unit supervisors and nurses to enhance patient nutritional care
• Plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates nutrition education for patients; arranges for individual patient follow-up as needed
• Visits patients regularly in assigned work area to determine adequacy and appropriateness of both diet order and oral intake
• Develops a nutrition care plan which includes long-and short-term objectives, treatment modalities, education needs, on-going information gathering, and evaluation
• The Dietitian Registered reports to assigned Manager.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in food and nutrition, with an emphasis in diet therapy, human physiology, chemistry, and/or adult education from an ADA-approved program

License/Certifications

• RD (Registered Dietician) or Provisional RD (Registered Dietician)
• Registration or registry eligible by the Academy Of Nutrition and Dietetics
