Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System is seeking a full-time Dietitian to join our team in Tulsa, OK. This role involves planning and implementing nutrition strategies to support patient health goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or dietetics, current Oklahoma licensure, and experience in patient education focused on diabetes and nutrition management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or nursing is required.
• Must possess current Oklahoma state licensure as a Licensed Dietitian.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) from the CDR is mandatory.
• 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Dietitian with diabetes responsibilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress toward nutrition goals.
• Educate patients on long-term eating habits and diabetes self-management.
• Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for diabetes and weight management.
• Recommend changes in therapy and monitor patient’s responses.

Get to Know Your Team

• Utica Park Clinic, founded in 1982, is a multi-specialty medical group with more than 300 employed physicians and advanced practice providers representing more than 30 specialties across 82 sites in Oklahoma, serving 21 communities.
• The clinical dietitian is a registered dietitian responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient progress toward nutrition goals.
• This position educates patients individually and in group settings on behaviors and lifestyle changes that impact long-term eating habits, diabetes, self-management and overall health.
• The dietitian will provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) to assist with including but not limited to prediabetes, type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes and weight management.
• Recommends changes in therapy and monitors patient’s responses to changes in medication regime, exercise plan or meal plan and reports to physician.
• Collaborates with other staff to provide education and self-management training in a clinically appropriate manner, as described in the department’s policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or nursing.
• Must possess current Oklahoma state licensure as a Licensed Dietitian.
• RD from the CDR required.

Preferred Job Requirements

• 3 years’ experience as a Clinical Dietitian with responsibilities related to diabetes.
