We are seeking a Dietitian to join our team!

Hospital Details

Vibra Specialty Hospital of Portland, located in Portland, OR, is a 65-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you can truly get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of nutritional care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients.
• Perform nutritional assessments and evaluations, make dietary recommendations, and provide patient counseling and education.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust nutritional care plans as needed.
• Implement nutrition therapy orders and verify their execution.
• Monitor patient adherence, acceptance, and tolerance for prescribed nutrition therapy.
• Re-evaluate and update nutrition care regularly.
• Plan and manage the nutrition department.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Valid, active license and/or certification as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment required.
• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
• Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor preferred.
• Knowledge of modern dietetics principles and practices preferred.
• Understanding of safety and sanitation standards in hospital food service preferred.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Proficiency with computer and software applications relevant to the role.
• Abstinence from illegal drug use and substances affecting work performance.
