Job Duties
To provide clinical nutrition support, care, and information to patients and staff.
Skills and Abilities
- Possesses proficient skills in the operation of a calculator, computer, PowerPoint, telephone, copy machine, and fax machine.
- Able to read and write legibly and engage in conversation in the English language.
- Demonstrates regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
- Completion of an approved coordinated undergraduate program, dietetic internship, or an approved master\u2019s program accompanied by qualifying work experience is required.
- Must be a Registered Dietitian or eligible for registration, with the requirement to obtain registration within one year.
- Licensure as a Dietitian in the State of Oregon is required.
- Possession of a current Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within 30 days is required.
- The individual must have, or be capable of obtaining, an Oregon Food Handler, Food Manager Certification, or ServSafe Certification within 30 days of employment; this is required.
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is preferred.
- Certification as a Diabetic Educator is required.
- Certification as an Oncology Nutrition Specialist is required.
- Certification as a Nutrition Support Specialist is required.
Experience
- Three years of experience in clinical or community nutrition is required.
