Job Details

Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking a Dietitian to provide nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions. The role involves working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. It is a full-time position (30-40 hrs/wk), Monday-Friday, with a flexible schedule. Key Responsibilities

1. Provides medical nutrition therapy, including assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention.
2. Follows all guidelines outlined in the Company Diet Manual and Nutrition Policies & Procedures.
3. Complies with regulatory standards, HIPAA, confidentiality, and patient rights.
4. Trains and mentors staff and interns.
5. Participates in patient satisfaction, departmental meetings, and quality improvement programs.

Qualifications

1. Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
2. State licensure where required.
3. Preferably, one year of hospital experience.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and nutrient analysis software.
