Job Details

Western State Hospital, an acute care adult psychiatric facility in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on providing nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. Full-time, 30-40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, with a flexible work schedule. Onsite presence is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides medical nutrition therapy including assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention
  • Follows all guidelines in the Company Diet Manual and Nutrition Policies & Procedures
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient rights
  • Trains and mentors staff and interns
  • Participates in patient satisfaction, departmental meetings, and quality improvement programs
Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • State licensure where required
  • One year hospital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and nutrient analysis software
