Job Details

Western State Hospital, an acute care adult psychiatric facility in Hopkinsville, KY, is seeking a Dietitian to join our team. This role focuses on providing nutritional care for individuals with mental health conditions, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patient well-being. The position is full-time, 30-40 hrs/wk, Monday-Friday, with a flexible work schedule. Onsite presence is required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to join our Nutrition Team at an acute care medical center in Hopkinsville, KY.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provides medical nutrition therapy including assessment, diet modification, education, and intervention.
2. Follows all guidelines outlined in the Company Diet Manual and Policies & Procedures Manual.
3. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, including HIPAA and patient rights.
4. Trains and mentors staff and interns as applicable.
5. Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

1. Registered Dietitian credentialed by the CDR.
2. Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, if required.
3. One year of hospital experience preferred.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EMR, diet systems, and nutrient analysis software.
