The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Clinical Dietitian to join the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The incumbent serves as a Dietitian (Clinical) at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. The Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center is a 1a-High Complexity Facility, serving over 67,000 unique patients and featuring 13 off-site community clinics, along with a homeless team, community-based extended care programs, and a 50-bed Domiciliary.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide clinical nutrition care, develop patient-centered nutrition plans, collaborate with healthcare teams, and contribute to performance improvement initiatives.

Basic Requirements:
Exception for GS-07 and GS-09 Only: Dietitians without the RDN/RD credential may be appointed temporarily if they meet other qualifications and fulfill specific requirements, but cannot be promoted until they obtain the RDN credential.
Foreign education must be evaluated by ACEND and meet its standards.
Grade Determinations:
GS-7: Experience or education beyond basic requirements is not required.
GS-9: At least one year of experience at the next lower grade or a master's degree from a regionally accredited university, with demonstrated knowledge and skills in accreditation, virtual technology, patient care, evidence-based practices, goal development, data collection, and stakeholder collaboration.
GS-11: At least one year of experience as an RDN at the next lower grade, with demonstrated advanced skills in patient care, research interpretation, goal development, data analysis, stakeholder collaboration, and compliance with regulations.

Physical Requirements: No inherent physical requirements that cannot be accommodated or adjusted for in the workplace. A pre-placement physical is not required.
