Schedule: Full Time - Monday to Friday, Exempt

The Ambulatory Dietitian ensures quality nutritional services for medical weight loss and bariatric surgery patients. Responsibilities include planning, organization, and development of the department's operations in collaboration with Bariatric Providers. The role is supported by a full-time Medical Assistant and requires a Registered Dietitian credential and licensure in Delaware and Maryland.

This position involves working in a busy outpatient clinic, providing 1:1 consultations over four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. After orientation, hybrid work options are available, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing nutrition counseling for bariatric surgery patients pre- and post-operation.
• Analyzing data, assessing nutritional status, and developing care plans.
• Managing online applications supporting bariatric patients.
• Participating in patient and staff education on diet and nutrition related to bariatric procedures.
• Maintaining current nutrition guidelines.
• Acting as liaison among the weight loss center, bariatric coordinator, and surgeons.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure timely and accurate documentation for patients.
• Leading support groups and tracking attendance.
• Participating in team rounds, meetings, and committees related to metabolic and bariatric surgery.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Engaging in quality improvement activities to meet accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• One year of clinical nutrition experience preferred.
• Degree in Nutrition or related field preferred.
• Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist in Delaware and Maryland is required.
