Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Dietitian to assess nutritional needs, design and implement dietary plans, and educate patients on healthy eating as part of a compassionate care team.

You will collaborate with physicians and care staff, document findings in medical records, and support post-discharge nutrition plans to promote long-term wellness within the community.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian with clinical nutrition expertise
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Food & Nutrition
  • State licensure required to practice
  • RD credential required or eligible (AND membership preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Counsel patients per physician orders and diet instructions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other disciplines in patient care.
  • Evaluate referral orders for adequacy of nutrition intake methods.
  • Document patient information in medical records per standards.
  • Implement nutrition care plans and adapt menus for dietary needs.
  • Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Review and approve menus for nutritional adequacy.

Qualifications
  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
  • State licensure required.
  • Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited institution with a major in Food & Nutrition.
  • One year of Clinical Dietetics experience preferred.
