Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Day shift Dietitian/Diabetes Educator to manage menus, provide nutrition counseling, and support discharge planning.

You will perform and document nutritional assessments, evaluate diet tolerance, and collaborate with other hospital services to meet patient needs. A 4-year degree and Oklahoma licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or equivalent required.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) or eligible to register.
• Oklahoma licensure or provisional licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Approve menus and nutritional supplements for patients.
• Provide dietary counseling to patients and discharge planning.
• Perform and document nutritional assessments.
• Evaluate patient tolerance to therapeutic diets as appropriate.
• Collaborate with hospital services to meet patient nutrition needs.
• Maintain patient data to recommend or modify therapeutic diets.
• Maintain professional standards of practice.

Get to Know Your Team:

• Hillcrest Medical Center is a 656-bed hospital that includes The Alexander Burn Center, The Peggy V. Helmerich Women’s Health Center, Kaiser Rehabilitation Center, the latest technology for the treatment of cancer, and the Oklahoma Heart Institute.

• Responsible for approving menus and nutritional supplements
• Provide dietary counseling to pts and those responsible for the patient upon discharge
• Performing and documenting nutritional assessments
• Evaluating patient tolerance to therapeutic diets as appropriate
• Collaboration with other hospital services to plan and implement patient care as necessary to meet the nutritional needs of the patients
• Maintaining pertinent patient data necessary to recommend, prescribe, and/or modify therapeutic diets
• Maintaining professional standards of practice

Job Requirements:

• 4 year/Bachelors Degree
• DA Registered (or registration eligible)
• Oklahoma licensure (or Provisional Licensure Status)
