Job summary

The Utah Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is seeking a qualified Dietitian to support hospital nutrition services. The role includes approving menus with modified diets, performing nutritional assessments, and counseling patients and their families on dietary plans, food choices, and nutrition principles.

The Dietitian will monitor performance improvement initiatives within Dietary Services and contribute to patient care planning related to nutritional needs, collaborating with clinical teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree (2020 on).
• Utah State licensure: Registered Dietitian (RD).

Responsibilities

• Approve hospital menus including modified diets.
• Provide nutritional assessments for patients as needed.
• Counsel patients and families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional principles.
• Monitor performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department and input in care plans related to nutrition.

Job description

The Dietitian approves menus including modified diets from the hospital, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsel's patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional principles. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or Master's Degree (2020 on). Utah State licensure: Registered Dietitian (RD).

Desired Qualifications:

1-2 years of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
