Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is a non-profit healthcare organization serving Licking County since 1898. We are seeking a Clinical Dietitian to apply Medical Nutrition Therapy in the inpatient hospital setting and collaborate with a team to provide patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Requires current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian and Ohio licensure.
• Continuing professional education to maintain credentials are required.
• Experience as a clinical registered and licensed dietitian is preferred; new graduates are welcome.

Responsabilités

• Develops, documents nutrition plan of care and performs Nutrition Focused Physical Exam as appropriate.
• Provides nutrition education to patients and families.
• Monitors nutrition status and adjusts plans as indicated.
• Calculates Enteral and Parenteral nutrition needs and communicates with other disciplines.

Position Summary

The Clinical Dietitian applies Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and incorporates research-based practice to best serve our patients in the Inpatient hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and documents nutrition plan of care and will include a Nutrition Focused Physical Exam as appropriate.
• Provides nutrition education to patients and their families
• Provides ongoing nutrition monitoring for patients as indicated
• Calculates Enteral and Parenteral needs and communicates with other disciplines regarding management of alternate nutrition.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university
• Licensure / Certification: Requires current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian.
• Must be a registered dietitian licensed in the state of Ohio.
• Completes continuing professional educational requirements to maintain credentials
• Experience as a clinical registered and licensed dietitian preferred. Open to new graduates
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of medical staff, healthcare professionals, managers, etc
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
