Job summary

Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to apply Medical Nutrition Therapy and research-based practice in the inpatient hospital setting.

The role focuses on developing nutrition care plans, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to manage enteral and parenteral nutrition needs. Candidates must be RD-eligible/licensed in Ohio and maintain continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university is required.
• Current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian is required.
• Must be a registered dietitian licensed in the state of Ohio.
• Continues to maintain credentials with ongoing professional education requirements.
• Experience as a clinical registered and licensed dietitian preferred. Open to new graduates.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and documents nutrition plan of care, including a Nutrition Focused Physical Exam as appropriate.
• Provides nutrition education to patients and their families.
• Provides ongoing nutrition monitoring for patients as indicated.
• Calculates Enteral and Parenteral needs and communicates with other disciplines regarding management of alternate nutrition.

Position Summary

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university
• Licensure / Certification: Requires current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credential as a Registered Dietitian.
• Must be a registered dietitian licensed in the state of Ohio.
• Completes continuing professional educational requirements to maintain credentials
• Experience as a clinical registered and licensed dietitian preferred. Open to new graduates
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of medical staff, healthcare professionals, managers, etc
• LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.
