Walden Behavioral Care in Middletown, CT is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide clinical nutrition and tailored meal plans under the direction of the Ambulatory Nutrition Services Director. You will assess patients, document findings, and contribute to nutrition rehabilitation within our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include individual and group nutrition therapy, education for patients and families, and collaboration on discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Education in Dietetics or Nutrition at bachelor’s or master’s level.
• Experience providing direct nutritional care in Eating Disorder/Mental Health settings.
• Licensed Dietitian in MA and/or RD with AND registration.
• CPR certification and basic nutrition knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical nutrition care and meal plans.
• Conduct nutrition assessments and document findings.

Responsibilities Include:: Provides clinical nutrition and meal plans in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Walden Behavioral Care Provide Nutrition assessments to all patients and accurately and thoroughly document nutritional assessment and patient issues using appropriate clinical terminology. Perform individual and group nutrition therapy. Provide meal plan/guide outlines and work with patients towards nutrition rehabilitation. Participate in treatment team planning and discharge planning. Provide effective nutrition education to patients and families. Communicate progress and activities related to treatment and continuing care plans on an ongoing basis to the patient, family, treatment team, referral source and other individuals involved in the patient’s care. Supervise breakfast, lunch and snacks while providing meal coaching to clients, as needed.
