Overview
As a dietitian at Encompass Health, you'll promote health and wellness through personalized nutrition plans. Responsibilities include assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing and implementing dietary plans, educating on healthy eating habits, instructing patients on post-discharge diets, and monitoring nutritional status. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on patients’ lives within a community-focused, inpatient rehabilitation environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized dietary plans
- Implement nutritional care plans and monitor progress
- Educate patients on healthy eating habits and post-discharge nutrition
- Instruct patients on post-discharge diets and monitor nutritional status
- Document pertinent information in the patient’s medical record according to established standards
- Evaluate referral orders to determine adequacy of nutrition intake methods
- Review, revise, and sign off menus for nutritional adequacy
Qualifications
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- State licensure required
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution
- One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred
