Job summary

Trevida Healthcare seeks a compassionate Diet Tech to support residents across our facilities. You will perform nutrition screens, assess risk, create personalized care plans, and provide nutrition education while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Travel between local facilities may be required. A certified Dietetic Technician (DTR) or a 4-year nutrition degree is expected, with CMD/ServSafe preferred. Generous benefits and a welcoming work environment offered.

Qualifications

• Certification as Dietetic Technician (DTR) or Registered Dietetic Technician status.
• Experience communicating nutrition information to diverse groups is preferred.
• CMD and ServSafe certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interact with an interdisciplinary team to support residents.
• Perform Nutrition Screens and assess nutrition risk levels accurately.
• Develop individualized nutrition goals and care plans.
• Provide nutrition education to residents and staff.
• Travel to different local facilities may be required.
• Engage residents, staff, and public positively.

Responsibilities Include:

• Interact as a team member with our Interdisciplinary team
• Perform Nutrition Screens/Accurately assess nutrition risk levels
• Complete Nutrition Assessments-create appropriate goals and individualized care plans in efforts to achieve those goals
• Provide appropriate nutrition education
• May be required to travel to our different local facilities
• Ability to positively interact with our residents, staff and the public
• Be an active participant in problem solving and provide guidance in relation to Dining Services and Nutrition by following regulation standards

Qualifications Include:

• Candidates must have completed a certified Dietetic Technician program,
• Possess a title of Registered DTR or have a 4 year Nutrition Degree
• Food Service experience in long-term care setting preferred
• CMD & ServSafe certification preferred
