Job summary

Lutheran SeniorLife is seeking a part-time Dietetic Technician in Beaver County, PA. The position supports the LIFE Center, assisting the dietitian with meal services and nutrition programs for elderly participants.

The role requires a two-year degree, registered or eligible status, and experience with frail/elderly populations, along with computer skills in Word and Excel. Competitive benefits are available for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be “Registered” or demonstrate “Registered Eligibility”.
• At least one year experience with a frail or elderly population.
• Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Word and Excel required.
• One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dietetic Technician assists the dietitian in the provision of food service and nutritional programs within the LIFE Center.
• Completes nutritional reassessments, assists in the development of care plans and assures participant’s needs are met through high quality nutritional meals and services.

LIFE is a program that serves county residents living in Armstrong, Butler, Beaver and Lawrence Counties. It is an all-inclusive comprehensive program that helps individuals maintain their independence in their home and community through supportive services. The LIFE programs offer an array of person-centered services from medical care to adult day supports with the primary goal of allowing individuals to remain in their own home.
