Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a Dietetic Assistant to support trayline and patient meal delivery in the Nutrition and Food Services department in Chapel Hill, NC. Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in food service or customer service or hospital clinical dietetics.
• Current ServSafe certification preferred.
• Previous hospital setting experience preferred.
• Role requires a highly active pace and substantial movement throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals to patients in a timely manner.
• Assists with tray preparation during meal service.
• Maintains safety, sanitation, health, and privacy standards.
• Moves items from storeroom and coolers to workstations; transfers food/equipment to storage.
• Communicates with patients about meal tickets and details.
• Keeps work areas clean and adheres to required training and health standards.
• Uses PPE and proper hygiene to prevent contamination.
• Performs quality assurance activities and monitors patient satisfaction.
