Job Description

The Dietary Worker provides patient support via phone and software systems and serves as a liaison to other departments regarding patient meal services. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Job Responsibilities

1. Function comfortably in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment where every call is recorded and assessed to ensure performance levels are maintained.
2. Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers.
3. Be adaptable to customer needs.
4. Handle patient customer service functions such as answering phones, taking menu orders, answering questions, or appropriately directing calls related to their meal or other nutritional needs.
5. Use software to record patient orders accurately.
6. Maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure meal orders are processed correctly.
7. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition services.
8. Maintain customer privacy, safety, and dignity by observing confidentiality and adhering to safety and sanitation standards.
9. Comply with ARAMARK's standards of operation and Business Conduct Policy. Maintain records and reports to ensure compliance with all regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred.
• Experience in food service, as a dietary clerk, or in a related field preferred.
• Fluent in English; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Comfortable using technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset; typing speed of 35-45 WPM.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
