Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Diet Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing diet changes, recording daily meal counts, and interacting with patients about menu choices. This role involves answering calls from nursing units, completing tube feeding tickets, and ensuring accurate patient nutrition. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment and maintain a positive, customer-focused demeanor. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and adherence to safety and sanitation standards are essential. Compliance with ARAMARK's operational standards and local, state, and federal regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Make diet changes in Geri-menu.
• Print and sort tray line tickets.
• Answer calls from nursing units.
• Record daily meal counts.
• Complete tube feeding tickets.
• Interact with patients about menu choices.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, performance-based environment where calls are recorded and assessed.
• Maintain a friendly, professional, and positive customer service attitude.
• Adapt to customer needs and direct calls appropriately.
• Use software to record patient orders.
• Maintain knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure accurate meal processing.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient nutrition.
• Observe confidentiality and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.
• Ensure compliance with ARAMARK’s standards and policies.
• Maintain records and reports to comply with regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred.
• Experience in food service, dietary roles, or related fields preferred.
• Fluent in English; bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Comfortable with technology, including web-based software, keyboard, and headset; typing speed of 35-45 wpm preferred.
• Flexible and adaptable to change.
