Job summary

Buffalo Valley Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Dietary Aide / Technician (2nd Shift) to support recovery-focused programming by preparing nutritious meals in a commercial kitchen.

You will oversee food safety, inventory control, and sanitation while working under the Dietary Supervisor to ensure alignment with dietary standards and government regulations. The role requires 2+ years in a kitchen setting, ServSafe or Food Handler's certification, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a commercial or institutional kitchen (detox, hospital, or cafeteria preferred).
• Valid Food Handler's or ServSafe Certification, required.
• Familiarity with modified diets and nutritional standards.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve hot, nutritious meals using commercial-grade equipment.
• Oversee kitchen operations, including menu planning, food safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain inventory, labeling, dating, and storage according to guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Supervisor to ensure compliance with nutritional standards and regulations.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure meals meet documented medical needs.
