We are seeking a kind, collaborative, and dedicated Diet Technician to join our team at Elderwood at Hornell. Our team members help ensure the health and well-being of our residents by managing and recording information related to their nutritional needs.

About Elderwood at Hornell:

  • Located among the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains along the Canisteo River in Steuben County, NY.
  • 55 miles south of Rochester, NY.
  • Provides long-term nursing, memory care, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as Adult Medical Day Services.
Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Read and understand task assignments; report verbally and document as required.
  • Show genuine concern, dependability, patience, and compassion towards residents.
  • Respect residents' rights and wishes.
  • Work cooperatively and respectfully with others.

Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in nutrition required.
  • High personal cleanliness and good hygiene; health status suitable for food service required.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with various software preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or higher level to ensure effective communication and safety.
