Job summary

Community Pharmacy in Illinois is seeking a Dietary Manager to partner with the Dietitian to plan, organize, develop and direct the Dietary Department, ensuring quality nutritional services are provided daily and that the department is clean, safe, and sanitary.

You will assist in planning and evaluating the department's programs, maintaining job descriptions, reviewing policies, inspecting storage and preparation areas, and processing diet changes from Nursing.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Must have Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing facility, or related medical facility.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and regulations governing dietary functions in nursing care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Dietary Department, its programs and activities.
• Assist in developing and maintaining written job descriptions and performance evaluations for dietary personnel.
• Review department policies and procedures at least annually and make recommendations to Dietitian/Administrator.
• Inspect food storage, utility, and storage areas for upkeep and supply control.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Department.
