Job summary

Extended Care, LLC is seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to direct and evaluate dietary staff at our Illinois facility. You will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure compliance with nutritional standards, and supervise meal service quality to deliver a superior dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities include scheduling, hiring, performance management of dietary staff, following standardized recipes, reviewing resident care plans, and providing nutrition counseling with support

Qualifications

• Previous long-term care experience.
• Prior management experience in food service or healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations within the dietary department, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Manage food service employees, including scheduling, hiring, and performance management.
• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus, using authorized substitutions as needed.
• Follow standardized recipes and special diet orders to meet residents' dietary needs.
• Review resident care plans to ensure nutritional requirements are met.
• Provide nutrition counseling with support from a registered dietitian.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth facility operations.
