Job summary

Social Row Transitional Care is seeking a Director of Dietary Services to plan, organize, and direct the daily operation of the dietary department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards. You will oversee staff, coordinate with nursing and other departments, and maintain policies and procedures to deliver safe, nutritious meals.

The role requires budgeting ability, coordination of cost controls, and adherence to dietary regulations in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year supervisory experience in hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical setting.
• Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and applicable laws and guidelines for long-term care.
• Ability to lead and work harmoniously with staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and manage daily operations of the dietary department.
• Coordinate services with nursing, activities, housekeeping, and other departments.
• Develop and maintain written dietary policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports and forms to monitor equipment and supplies.
• Assist in budget planning for food, equipment, supplies and labor.
• Review plans of correction and implement improvements.
