Job summary

Infinity Healthcare Consulting is seeking a compassionate Dietary Cook for Roan Highlands to prepare meals for residents in a healthcare setting, following dietary restrictions and delivering high-quality service.

You will work with a team to ensure sanitation, proper food preparation, and adherence to guidelines, while demonstrating empathy toward elders and maintaining a professional attitude.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent (minimum).
• One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Must have a sanitation certificate.
• Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Must be knowledgeable of dietary procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Cook at Roan Highlands, you will prepare and assist with food preparation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner while following specific dietary restrictions and providing alternatives for residents in our healthcare facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Some experience in institutional cooking; experience as a cook.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation and hygienic methods.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Sincere desire to work with elders and others who have a limited capacity for self-care.
• Mental & physical capacity to perform the essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Work with and provides care to individuals of a wide range of personality types and maturity levels.
• The ability to demonstrate creative initiative and mature judgment in making competent decisions.
