Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services associate to ensure patient, visitor and staff nutritional needs are met, including tray line service, cafeteria operations, and related duties.

Daily Pay — Work Today, Get Paid Today. Training is provided on the job, with focus on accuracy, sanitation and guest service in a hospital setting. Position includes rotating shifts and on-site responsibilities in Mishawaka, Indiana.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and follow multiple-step processes.
• High school diploma preferred.
• On the job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient, visitor and staff nutritional requirements are met.
• Replenish nourishments and floor stock; prepare cold and hot foods.
• Deliver patient trays, operate cash register and manage money.
• Serve cafeteria guests and support catering service.
• Maintain cleanliness and temperatures as required.

JOB SUMMARY

• Responsible for providing services to ensure that patient, visitor and staff nutritional requirements are met. Responsible for replenishing nourishments/floor stock; preparing cold and hot food items, working tray line/room service line, dish-room, patient tray delivery, operating cash register, managing money, serving cafeteria guests, catering service, cleaning and taking temperatures as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

• Education: Ability to read and write and follow multiple-step processes normally acquired during elementary school. High school graduate preferred.
• Experience: Knowledge and experience in food service desired. On the job training provided.
