Job summary

Caring Places Management, Port Angeles, WA, is seeking a Dietary Manager to lead Laurel Place's kitchen and dining program. This full-time role oversees meal preparation, meal service, and vendor coordination, while mentoring staff and ensuring meals meet residents’ dietary needs in a warm, homelike environment.

The position reports to the Administrator, requires evenings and weekends, and includes benefits such as health insurance, a 401K plan, and generous PTO. Wage: $23-$24/hour, DOE.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work evenings & weekends.
• Experience cooking in an institutional setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to use a computer when necessary.
• Must have a current Food Handler’s Permit or obtain one prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the kitchen staff.
• Oversee pre-meal and meal preparation, including ordering supplies and meeting with vendors.
• Manage all kitchen expenses within budget.
• Assist with marketing and social events, including decorating the dining room area.
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas meet company standards for cleanliness and organization.

Caring Places Management is actively recruiting for a Dietary Manager to join our Assisted Living & Memory Care community, Laurel Place, in Port Angeles, WA. This position reports directly to the Administrator and fills a crucial role within the community by overseeing and organizing the preparation and service of meals while making lasting connections with our residents, their families, and our exceptional care team.
