Job summary

Haven Memory Care in Gulf Shores, AL is seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to lead daily food service operations in our senior living community. You will oversee menu planning, food prep, inventory, and staff scheduling while ensuring safety, quality, and compassionate service for residents.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and assemble food, supplies for daily prep.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus.
• Keep department clean and sanitary.
• Assist with inbound goods and storage.
• Plan and prepare special meals and events.
• Supervise dietary staff and schedules.
• Manage monthly inventory of food and drinks.
• Place weekly orders for food and drinks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviews the day’s menus and assembles food, supplies and equipment for daily food preparation according to productions sheets.
• Prepares meals according to planned menus.
• Maintains assigned department areas in a clean, neat and sanitary manner as well as a clean-as-you-go principle.
• Assists in checking in and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Assists with planning and preparation of special meals, parties and banquets.
• Responsible for supervising the daily duties of the dietary staff and staffing schedules.
• Responsible for monthly inventory of all food and drink.
• Responsible for weekly ordering of food and drink items.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
