Job summary

Apple Rehab Guilford, 86-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Guilford, CT, seeks a Dietary Manager. This salaried, benefit-eligible position starts at $65,000 per year and reports to the Facility Administrator.

You will lead the Dietary Department, ensure policy adherence and budget compliance, and maintain high quality of care. Candidates must have Serv Safe Manager certification, strong leadership, and the ability to supervise staff, organize workflows, and coordinate with other

• Must hold Serv Safe Manager certification.
• Ability to read, write and understand English, perform simple math calculations.
• Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to supervise and instruct others.
• Previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred.
• Demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team.
• Patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the residents and their support networks.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the Dietary Department, its programs and activities within approved budget and quality standards.
• Ensures that all written dietary policies, procedures, and manuals are adhered to, maintained and updated.
• Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations in preparation for state survey.
• Prepares recommendations to the Administrator concerning department operations.
• Fosters and maintains inter-departmental communication and cooperation to ensure that any reported concerns are addressed and corrected.
• Develops the organizational structure, staffing and direction within policy and budgetary guidelines.
• Responsibly exercises authority to take necessary personnel actions for department personnel including actions impacting employment such as hire, evaluations, work assignments and schedules.
• Assists in departmental conflict resolution and makes recommendations for discipline.
• Participates in continuing education and empowerment of employees as well as makes recommendations for promotion and transfers within branches of Apple Rehab.

Responsibilities

Are you a skilled Dietary Manager with a passion for excellence in healthcare? As a Dietary Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the Dietary Department's programs and activities to ensure the highest standards of quality within approved budgets.

• Commitment to continuous improvement and employee development.
