Lifespace Communities in Prairie Village, KS, is hiring a Dietary Assistant Lead to oversee meal service and dietary operations for residents. The role requires engagement with residents and staff, supervising dietary aides, and maintaining quality controls across menus, inventory, and dining areas.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Two to three years applicable experience.

Responsabilidades

• Provide and maintain a high level of resident and guest engagement.
• Oversee the distribution of meals according to diet orders; ensure quality, quantity, and temperature control.
• Provide work direction and assignments to dietary aides.
• Communicate ongoing performance feedback.
• Orient new team members on department procedures and train on equipment.
• Initiate menu counts for normal and special diets; print and distribute dietary cards.
• Control inventory; maintain par levels and track supplies.
• Record daily logs and temperature readings; audit stored food and supplies dates.
• Ensure safety, maintenance, and cleanliness of dining rooms, kitchens, and workstations.

A few details about the role:

• Provide and maintain a high level of resident and guest engagement.
• Oversee the distribution of meals according to diet orders. Align quality, quantity, and temperature control with menu items.
• Provide work direction and assignments to dietary aides.
• Communicate on-going performance feedback.
• Orient new team members on department procedures. Teach team members the proper use of all department equipment.
• Initiate menu counts of normal diets and special diets and provide weekly tally/production sheets. Print and distribute resident dietary cards.
• Control itemized food, beverage, and supply inventory. Maintain inventory par levels, track inventory and supplies.
• Record daily logs, temperature readings and audit for dates listed on stored food and supplies.
• Facilitate the safety, maintenance, and cleanliness of dining rooms, serving kitchens, and workstations.
