Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Follow proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and regulations.
• Ensure proper quantity of food is prepared and served on time.
• Prepare food for special events as instructed by the supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and uncluttered during preparation and service.
• Taste prepared food to ensure quality taste and palatability.
• Maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service.
• Record temperatures according to policy.
• Serve meals attractively and on schedule; label, date, and store food properly.
• Ensure correct refrigerator/freezer temperatures; wash dishes per procedures.
• Make improvements to recipes, menus, production and service.
