Job summary

Easterseals Redwood is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our Kentucky campus in a full-time role. You will prepare meals that meet CACFP and USDA standards, supervise staff, and assist with purchasing and inventory.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Children’s Services, training staff as needed, and ensuring meals are served on schedule for clients and staff. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference for 2+ years of cooking and food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years or more cooking and food service experience preferred.
• Experience in school, daycare, or nonprofit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow CACFP guidelines in daily tasks.
• Assist training of direct care staff as requested by Dietary Manager.
• Plan, prepare and serve meals meeting USDA requirements.
• Supervise dietary staff or volunteers and maintain equipment.
• Assist in purchasing food and inventory maintenance.
• Prepare, label and serve meals for clients and staff as scheduled.
• Communicate with Children’s Services and accommodate special requests.
• Clean and maintain kitchen areas; assist with service and cleanup.
