Job summary

Healthcare Services Group Inc. in Nevada seeks a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain food safety standards.

Responsibilities include inventory support, positive resident interactions, and adherence to COVID-19 vaccination policies. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with occupants, administration, and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, etc. for extended periods.
• May require sanitation/safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state law.
• Residency within the service area required.

• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
