Job summary

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; preference for quantity cooking and therapeutic diets education.
• Minimum one year food service experience in a health care dietary setting preferred.
• Aptitude: Verbal and writing abilities to communicate with staff, residents, family, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate food preparation and meal service
• Plan and initiate cooking schedule to meet meal schedule
• Prepare, season, cook, and serve meals with appropriate portions
• Assist with department inventory and ensure supplies meet needs
• Check and inspect food products and supervise storage when Dietary Manager is absent
• Follow safety codes and infection control procedures
